GeoOrbtial Electric Bike Wheel is a wheel with no center – it “orbits” around an empty area, rather than spin as a result of being connected to a “hub.” For example have you seen the movie TRON? The wheels on those motorcycles are examples of Orbital Wheels (A.K.A. Hubless Wheels and Centreless Wheels).

A GeoOrbital wheel is an evolution of the Orbital wheel concept, but instead of orbiting around an empty space, the center of the wheel contains components that make the wheel function as an “all-in-one” vehicle propulsion system. We call this central mass a “Geo.”

The GeoOrbital wheel platform allows to integrate an almost limitless amount of components into the wheel itself. Because the wheel doesn’t spin we have been able to integrate headlights, USB charging ports, storage compartments, bike locks and many other components that it would not be possible to build into a spoked wheel.

With an industry leading 500W brushless motor – the typical rider can expect speeds of up to 20 Miles Per Hour (32 Kilometers Per Hour) under motor power alone. You can pedal to go even faster.

The GeoOrbital wheel, in its current configuration, weighs just a hair under 20 pounds. We are delicately balancing power, battery capacity, functionality, component cost and weight.

When the wheel is attached to a typical 20 pound bike the result is an electric bike that weighs under 40 pounds, making it one of the lightest electric bikes in the world.

It has been successfully tested on dozens of different 700c hybrid and 29er mountain bicycles found in specialty and big box stores. Future versions will be created for 26? bicycles along with a range of other sizes.
