The Basslet is a wearable that allows your body to silently feel the bass of the music you are listening to. The experience is a bit like playing an instrument, being at a concert or in a club. You wear it on your wrist, and the sensitivity of that body part actually makes the local sensation almost all body like.

Werteloberfell have created the innovative wearable accessory that provides an immersive music experience through the use of a haptic technology for sound. It recreates the bass frequencies of music in high fidelity and sends them directly to your body. sound and feeling become one experience: not only will you hear the sound – but you will also feel it, physically.

Werteloberfell have created a unique sensory experience by combining two separate fields into one single device. The gadget incorporates new technologies and manufacturing processes, into an experimental outcome which presents a new exciting language in which to be felt.

The ‘Basslet’ – which was developed by Lofelt a start-up from Berlin – is essentially a a loudspeaker component designed to reproduce very low bass frequencies down to 10 hz, so the user can feel the rhythm of the music pulsate through their body in accordance to the beat of the song.

The design is monolithic, minimalist and reminiscent of musical equipment, and creates the smallest possible package around the current technology. It’s a masterpiece of engineering.

It puts the power and accuracy of a large sound system into a device that fits on your wrist. It is completely silent to the outside world – and despite the size, it makes you feel like you are surrounded by sound.
